Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 August 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar browser storage this website uses. It describes the current implementation, not a general template.

The Growth Check is operated by Nadya Koseva. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@thegrowthcheck.com.

1. What cookies and browser storage are

A cookie is a small text file that a website can store in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, let a site remember small pieces of information on your device. Some of these are strictly necessary for a site to work, while others are used for analytics or advertising.

2. What this website currently uses

This website does not use advertising cookies. It uses functional browser storage that is always active, and analytics that run only if you accept them:

  • Language preference: a small entry saved in your browser's local storage when you use the language switcher, so the site can remember which language version you prefer. It contains only a language code such as en or bg, it does not identify you, and it stays on your device until you clear your browser storage. It works regardless of your analytics choice.
  • Consent choice: a small entry in local storage that records whether you accepted or rejected analytics, so the banner does not appear on every visit.
  • Google Analytics 4: set by Google and used only after you accept analytics. It uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_ plus a container identifier to measure visits, pages viewed and general usage patterns. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses and anonymises them as part of how the service works, advertising features are switched off, and we do not send your name, email address, company or message content to Google Analytics.

Technical request data, such as IP address and browser type, is processed by the hosting infrastructure for delivery and security. That is not cookie based and is covered in the Privacy Policy.

3. Consent and how to change it

When you first visit the site, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. Nothing analytical is loaded before you choose. Google Consent Mode v2 is used, and analytics storage, ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation all start as denied. Accepting sets analytics storage to granted; the advertising categories stay denied because we do not run advertising or remarketing.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent sets analytics storage back to denied.

4. What is not installed

To be explicit about the current state of the site, none of the following are installed or active:

  • Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Pixel
  • Google Ads conversion tracking or remarketing
  • Any other advertising, marketing or cross site tracking technology

5. Third party content

The site loads a web font stylesheet from Google Fonts so that text renders consistently. This is a request for a style resource and is not used to set advertising cookies by this site. Your browser's request to that provider will include standard technical data such as your IP address.

6. Managing browser storage

You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. If you clear the language preference entry, the site simply defaults to English again.

7. Future changes

If further analytics or marketing technologies are introduced later, for example Google Tag Manager or advertising tags, this policy will be updated before or at the time they go live, and consent for those categories will be requested separately, will be optional, and will be withdrawable at any time.
